Toasty
Sunday, July 16, 2006 at 9:01AM So updates seem to come few and far between when I’m feeling good and happy about life. I wonder if the fact that I write more when I’m feeling low is mainly because I’m looking inward when I feel like that or I feel low because I’m looking inward. Interesting thought: chicken and the egg style.
So I’ve had a manic few weeks. Last weekend (the 7th – 9th) was a nice trip back to Penarth to allow Katy to meet up with my parents and to visit Cardiff. It was fun and relaxing and nice to be able to show K the place where I grew up. Bit nerve wracking for her I think meeting the folks but they were their usual selves and they liked Katy so that was a win.
This weekend has been a bit more sedate. A BBQ day with plenty to drink (too much on my part, I think I might need to take another drinking abstinence) and then Toast today which was good: lots of nice wine and food but the venue could have done with a bit more entertainment. It all felt a bit flat.
So here’s where I let people know that sooner or later (looking like early next year) it looks like I will be emigrating to New Zealand. I’ve always quite fancied going to work abroad for a while and I’ve never been to the other side of the world. I think I’m going to enjoy it. Plus Katy has to go back and I’m don’t want to end things between us she’s too much a factor for good in my life, long may it continue. Anyway treat this as forewarning.

New Zealend!?!?! lovely stuff. I will refrain from making LOTR references because [amazing fact alert] New Zealend existed before the lord of the rings movies!!!Anyway, I would love to visit while you are there. If potatos had vital organs to sell on the black market I would. its suprizingly expensive to fly there, even for potatos. I will have to start saving!
