By the mans whiskers

So i’m back in London after a rather tense and troublesome journey, that saw me feeling seriously angry, and pissed off… not the best for a return from a truly relaxing holiday!.

I have whiskers:

So the journey home was eventful to say the least.

a) I had a nice 5 hr wait at Kuala Lumpur before being able to even check my baggage in, then a much nicer 3 hour wait past passport control in the KL business lounge (could have saved myself 10 if i got their earlier as i wouldn’t have had to pay for food!)

b) The plane was delayed an hour taking off so 3 hours turned into 4

c) I’d bought some spirits to bring home to the UK only these were taken off me and discarded at Amsterdam due to the fact the bag wasn’t sealed (nice of them to tell me after i’d bought the booze and had already flown with it for 12 hours)

d) Upon arrival at London I had to queue 30 minutes just to get through Passport control

e) my bags didn’t arrive with my plane and turned up on the next flight which landed 1hr 40 mins after mine.

All in all i have a single tip… never ever ever fly to Malaysia with KLM as it means shit planes, shit crew, shit change at amsterdam. (if i’d flown direct to london from KL with Malaysian Air i would have been able to keep my duty free, been able to check my bags in as soon as i got to the airport, been 4hrs earlier to the UK, prob have had my bags arrive with me)

ah well i’ll know next time.

So anyway i’m back now with a winter tan, and it’s great to see Katy again, but i suspect i’ll be a bit jet lagged tonight.

Stuck in Transition

Ok so at the moment i’m stuck waiting for a couple of hours more, so that i can check in my baggage at Kuala Lumpur (I’ll check that spelling once i’m on my home machine as this internet cafe has really the wost technology i have seen and i want to spend as little time posting as possible) Fingers crossed my 24hr journey home to the UK will go smoothly and i’ll be able to update my post pretty soon.

So for the last 1.5 weeks i’ve been sunning myself, drinking beer, sailing and generally relaxing in the island comunioty of Lankawi (again i will have to check the spelling on that one.)

Yacht sailing is possibly one of the best ways to see a coastline you will get and we saw some of the most golden sand and gorgeous beaches i have ever known. I just wish i didn’t have this wait now. My parents have left me, as although our flights are only 5 mins apart they are flying business and have been allowed to check their baggage in as soon as they got to the airport.

Anyway i’ll keep this one short and post a nice long one aboput each day as soon as i’m comfortable in my flat with a cup of earl grey :)

Hope everyone is well.
