So, nearly a week since I got back from holiday, and still no update, so it’s about time that I sat down and wrote a little (at least) about the trip, in my usual self indulgent way!

If anyone reading this has never been to Barcelona, I would have to strongly advise a trip. The city is amazing, the bars and beaches are great and there’s even some scenery worth visiting. The only down side to the holiday is that it involved me spending way too much money. We were staying in the Olympic village which is quite a touristy venue, leading to some pretty hefty prices. Despite which I really enjoyed my week away.

And now I’m back, and so is Katy who’s been away in Greece (to the same place I used to work!).

So now I’m just getting used to spending a lot less, I’m going to have to have a month of serious saving so I can afford to go camping at then end of august, and get my mum a decent 60^th birthday pressie.

So here’s to saving money!

Summer has hit hard in the last week or two, Today the temperature was ridiculous and didn’t help me trying to sleep and rest off the effects of yesterday, an all day BBQ at Sian and Greg’s place.
Everyone seems to have gone mad with the heat.. Emmelie and George, two of my flatmates, have been on a very intensive weekend binge! George has been up for 3 days without sleep and somehow was still standing when Emmelie left him an hour or two ago. I seriously suspect he will have to fall on his arse some time soon

as for Luke, he’s been out with a Lady all weekend also drinking excessively.. maybe it’s the heat or maybe it’s the world cup but the whole city seems to have gone a little mad.The night time sounds remind me of Summer of Sam, I never understood the City sounds recorded until i spent a summer night with my window open last year, the heat seems to amplify the sounds.Katy’s off at a concert tonight, and I’m feeling a little sorry for her, we were both more than a little worse for wear this morning and i don’t think that she could be feeling much better in an outdoor concert by Bon Jovi. No doubt there will be a certain amount of hair of the dog.Hope everyone is enjoying the World Cup and the glorious sun shine… Only 3 days till I’m in Barcelona.
