Death of a Salesman

He provided me with my A-Level practical (or part of it)

playing catch up

Ok so it’s (yet again) been a while since I posted and since then EVERYTHING has been changed in my life… well apart from (thankfully) my girlfriend Elaine who I couldn’t do without.

Part 1: the Job. Well actually this is the main thing that has changed and really should be split into two parts
a) I finished at Egg and have to extend my thanks to those who treated me well in my first professional computing job. Especially to Alan for getting me the gig in the first place.
b) Turns out my new role is rather a development for the books for I will be becoming (I’m still not sure if this is going to pan out but I really hope so) a developer. [hmm apparently I'm developing into a developer… weird]
So at the moment I am tasked with doing design work for a program that is the breadwinner for Cresta’s small development team, a team that I should be becoming a part of…. The thing is at the moment apparently it’s a trial (not a problem I think I can wow them) apart from its on design, not my absolute forte but possibly something which I have a larger experience of than the current team. Plus I’m getting to put some programming into my interface designs (pull down menu’s etc) which hopefully should reinforce my programming credentials.

Now the weird thing is, is that I’m currently working from home…. This makes sense to the company (lucky they never met me as a student) as they don’t have to pay for accommodation and they also the director who’s overseeing my work is in Derby at Egg on a contract at the moment so I can pop in and see him.

The big problem is, that I’m really worried I’ll lose motivation. I’m starting to loose a little direction already. But so far not distracted myself too much. So hopefully I can keep the momentum up until I’m taken on board and asked to move.

Well actually that sums up the majority of what’s changed in my life so really I shouldn’t have over played it like peter Molyneux talking up Fable. (yes I realise that link is a bit lost on those non gamers out there but Google the name and a bit of Fable and you will understand)

Downloaded the new version of trillian which I have to say is rather good, it does some highlighting of words it can find in the wikipedia and when you hover your mouse over it it’ll give you the entry…. Such as washing

ALSO World Of Warcraft is seriously addictive. Thank god I got on the final beta testing. :D

EDIT: Forgot to add my personal recomendation to listen to the new chemical brothers album “Push the Button” it rocks especially the last track.

On a closing note, I would like to inform you of a little story a friend shared with me…. So it’s a she, and she’s been chatted up a number of times by a bloke who she gets on with but not in that way.. so anyway a few days ago she receives an MMS of him, displaying her his genitalia…. Now I ask you is that really a way to chat a girl up… he missed of the crucial “it tastes like strawberry”. Asshat!
:D
